Strategic Plan | Development & Implementation

Knowledge Gap: Fragmented or outdated information stored in multiple areas, lack of standardized processes for capturing and sharing knowledge, ultimately disrupting continuity of operations.

 

Solution: Developed and wrote a well-defined strategy aligning knowledge initiatives with business goals, enhancing decision-making, preserving institutional knowledge, and fostering innovation while offering a competitive edge in an increasingly information-driven economy.

ApproachAudited and baselined organization then developed customized plan with high level goals and targeted objectives measured though a metrics-driven maturity model and monitored through Key Performance Indicators (KPSs).

Knowledge Management Systems | Intranet Restructure & Management

Knowledge Gap: Disorganized information stored across multiple platforms and in repositories without metadate or standardized naming conventions, often resulting in duplicative work and outdated resources. 

 

Solution: Aligned internal division intranet to organization-wide intranet, creating a Knowledge Management System with a user-friendly interface, ensuring accurate & accessible knowledge to stakeholders while archiving relevant resources and facilitating updates with knowledge owners where needed.

Approach: Analyzed intranet and knowledge storage across multiple platforms and proposed overall design scheme to restructure information with a customer service focus design scheme. Developed and integrated change management through alignment, stakeholder facilitation, and strategic implementation, working with over 10 teams across division.

Measured Outcomes | Maturity Model & Key Performance Indicators

Knowledge Gap: Organizational processes and knowledge storage occurring within an organization on a spectrum from ad hoc to optimized. 

 

Solution: Provided a structured design to move from reactive, informal practices to proactive, strategic knowledge approaches reaching targeted milestones.

Approach: Applied maturity rating to organization after analyzing baseline audit data and integrated a roadmap to reach objectives and accomplish high level goals.

Standardization | Forms, Templates & Documents

Knowledge Gap: Work products stored in multiple locations with unique versions and formats. 

 

Solution: Standardized and aligned templates, forms, checklists, and intranet documents and updated work products with a customer service focus and distinct branding scheme ensuring compliance for accessibility and suggesting/building in automation where applicable.

Approach: Analyzed multiple information resources and documents and worked with stakeholders to develop aligned work products which were easy to find and use.

Process Optimization | Internal Audit Automation & Knowledge Storage

Knowledge Gap: Decentralized storage of internal audit process which captured over 1,000 documents each review cycle.

 

Solution: Streamlined, centralized, and standardized knowledge intake process through automation, repository management, and automated standard naming convention.

Approach: Developed an automated intake form to centralize  process and store artifacts. Applied metadata categories to artifacts for future data retrieval. Facilitated change management trainings with stakeholders while ensuring access control to sensitive information, offering support as needed, and providing job aid.

Stakeholder Engagement | Collaboration, Facilitation & Organizational Buy-In

Knowledge Gap: Information access and tacit knowledge are difficult to find or not captured for relevant stakeholders. 

 

Solution: Cultivated a culture of knowledge sharing starting with executive leadership and championing this value to individuals and teams within the organization through clear communication, continual outreach, and targeted outcomes. 

​

Approach: Periodic briefings on KM progress on information architecture and processes for leadership's review and approval for implementation. Meetings with diverse teams to explain how objectives and goals apply to their specific task order.
